Can Immunocal help with Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumours?

I know someone that is suffering from G.I.S.T (gastrointestinal stromal tumour)

How can Immunocal help this?...I would like to help him out.

Answer:

Excellent question. Here is what I do when I get any question at all about Immunocal and a health condition, in this order:

1: Check Dr. Gutman's latest book "Glutathione - Your Key To Health" for the term in the glossary and index. In this case, it's not there.

2: Go to www.pubmed.gov and type in "gastrointestinal stromal tumours" - this yields 3990 results. Since people often misspell names, pubmed will suggest something close to what you are looking for as you type in the search box. So now you are sure you have the correct name.

3: Now try "gastrointestinal stromal tumours glutathione." This yields no results.

4: Try "gastrointestinal stromal tumours oxidative stress" instead of glutathione. This yields no results.

5: A-ha: Try "gastrointestinal stromal tumours immune system"- this yields 112 studies. OK- now you have something. These may be worth a glance through at the conclusions to see how these terms are related.

6: You can also try anything else that GSH is known to affect, like detoxification, aging, energy, mitochondria, you get the idea. The purpose is to find out if there is an established connection between glutathione and the health condition in medical studies, and then find out what it is. The conclusions of the studies are usually the easiest part to understand.

Most of the time, you won't have to go through all of these steps, but if you do, and still have nothing, you can e-mail John Molson on the chance there are some ongoing studies he knows about that haven't been published yet.

Other than that, everyone benefits from having raised glutathione levels.
