Whey Protein and PSA
by: Anonymous

I used whey protein regularly for a period of several months and then had my PSA tested at 4.1 (which was 2.7 the year prior).

I stopped using the whey protein and it dropped the next year to 3.5.

The following year I resumed the whey protein and again, the PSA tested high, this time at 8.2.

Do you know if whey protein contributes to a high PSA or not?

Thanks.

Answer:

I do not know if there is a connection between whey protein and PSA, although you may want to check with your doctor as to why this may be happening.

Best,
Laura
