What's the difference between Immunocal and MaxGXL?

Are they the same product, just sold by two different companies? I am told they both boost glutathione.

Answer:

No, they are not the same product; they are sold by two different companies, but their main purpose is the same: to supply the building blocks to the cells, so your cells can manufacture glutathione inside them.

Both products work effectively at raising glutathione.

Immunocal and MaxGXL both use forms of the amino acid cysteine to help the body to produce glutathione, since cysteine is largely missing from our diet, and what we do get doesn't always make it to the cells where it is needed.

Immunocal uses bonded cysteine from raw cow's milk, and MaxGXL uses N-acetyl-cysteine which is an over the counter drug that has been used for years in emergency medicine.

Both forms of cysteine are well researched. This research can be accessed by going to www.pubmed.gov, and typing in "Immunocal" , or separately, "N-acetyl-cysteine."

While Immunocal has 27 published studies on PubMed, MaxGXL still has yet to publish any studies there. More studies need to be done to determine the safety of long term chronic daily usage of N-acetyl-cysteine.

One should be thoroughly aware of ingredients, contraindications, and possible side effects before using.
