Glutathione Could Decide The Fate of A Cell

by Carlos A. Labarrere, MD, FACC, FAHA
(Indianapolis, IN)

My name is Carlos Labarrere, and I am the Head of the Experimental Pathology Division of the Methodist Research Institute in Indianapolis, Indiana.

I would be happy to share my observations about glutathione with you here. Glutathione is a key modulator of cell functions.

This means that it has important roles in cellular defense against oxidant aggression and maintaining redox homeostasis. The lack of glutathione could decide the fate of the cell.
