Immunocal and Lung cancer treatment

by Adeline
(UK)

Hi,
I have been diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer with metastasis. I am having targeted treatment as my cancer has a specific protein mutation (EGFR . I am taking Gefitinib daily oral dose for just over a week now. Less toxic than chemo. So far no side effects and appetite seems good. Is taking Immunocal recommended?
Thank you. Adeline

Adeline,
Yes, Immunocal is a good adjunctive treatment with chemo as it may lessen or eliminate the negative side effects of chemotherapy. Raising glutathione has a protective effect on the healthy cells so they do not die off as they would with chemo alone, thus making you feel better during treatment.
