Drug interactions
by: Dr. H. Williams

In products with calcium and magnesium, ionized calcium in blood may rise, causing higher blood pressure and/or nosebleeds. This is what is happening to me.I am otherwise healthy. If I stop Immunocal Platinum nosebleeds stop within a few days.I am having bloodwork done to study this phenomenon. Please list the amount of calcium and magnesium citrates on your packaging or on website.
Thanking you! Dr. H. Williams, Ontario, Canada,

Dear Dr. Williams,
Thank you for your feedback, and I will be interested in seeing what you learn from your bloodwork. If you'd like to send your packaging suggestions to Immunotec you may do so directly at info@immunotec.com. It would be best coming directly from you, as I believe you are sincere in your request, and when you write, you can explain why you are making the request.

Good health to you!

Immunocal & Immunocal Platinum - Hypothyrod
by: Anonymous

I take my thyroid medication on a empty stomack and than wait 30 mins to 1 hour before I eat anything else and have to wait 4 hrs before I take any vitamins. I notice that the Immunocal has calcium and Immunocal Platinum has Calcium Magnesium in it. I have to wait fours hrs before I take anything with Calcium in it. Should I take either Immunocal 4 hrs after I take my thyroid Medication?

Answer:
It is best to follow all label and doctor's instructions, so if you are in doubt, it is probably safest from what you have told me to wait 4 hours.
