Hi, I'd like to know how long does the NAC stays in the body system. I took NAC for 4 months and now I want my body to get rid of the excess, that's why I'm asking.

It is my understanding that the body uses NAC to make glutathione, but this is only in an emergency setting when a person is suffering from acetaminophen overdose to save them from liver failure and certain death.
