Does glutathione get rid of toxins?

I am worried about all of the chemicals I and my family are exposed to. If I raise my glutathione levels, will it help to get rid of these toxins? Anything else I can do?

Answer:

Yes. And Yes.

With approximately 1 billion pounds of pesticides, herbicides and fungicides being used each year in the United States, and usage doubling every 10 years, you have good reason to be concerned.

Less than 1% of these toxins applied make their way to the intended recipient. The rest goes into our food, water, air and soil. We are the unintended recipient!

Eat organically when you can, but even this will not eliminate all toxins from your food. Wash food carefully and filter your air and water in your home or office to the best of your ability as well.

These chemicals are very damaging to our nervous, endocrine, and immune systems. When you raise your glutathione levels, you are giving your liver and kidneys, your main organs of detoxification, a boost.

Next to water, glutathione is your body's most potent detoxifier. Period. It even chelates heavy metals like mercury and lead out of the body.

Glutathione is highest in your liver and kidneys, and it effectively binds to these toxins in our air, food, and water, liquefying them and liberating them in your system.

Raising your glutathione with Immunocal, drinking half your body weight in water every day, removing as much exposure as you reasonably can, along with adequate rest (you detoxify in your sleep) will ensure that your system will have what it needs to keep up with the toxin load.
